I purchased the Aurora LightPad MAX, and I love it! I have been using it for around six months now. I am an early riser, so it’s important to me to keep a consistent circadian rhythm throughout the year. In the winter, I use the light pad during my morning devotions to get my morning light, since the sunrise is ~2 hours later than in the summer. In the summer, I use the light pad while I’m doing my morning routine, before going outside to get more light. It helps me stay consistent, and I’m thankful to know I’m supporting my circadian rhythm and overall health. My sister recommended this company to me. She has the smaller version (mini), which she appreciates, but she suggested the MAX would be even more effective. I’m pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to others!

I use my Alaska Northern Lights Aurora LightPad MAX daily and it has been instrumental at helping me change my sleep. February through April can be pretty dark and miserable here in Chicago, and I’ve been feeling it more each year — especially working from home. After the first dark day in January, I knew I had to go on the offensive and bought an Aurora LightPad MAX. I don’t use it daily, but on days I know it’s going to be bad, I use it for 30 minutes first thing in the morning while I’m in the kitchen and/or dining room. It seems to help!

4-1-26 Update—I’m using Aurora LightPad MAX™ year round now.
Getting bright light in the morning and warm light in the evening helps with me with mood and sleep. I use smart bulbs in my lamps and fixtures to have bright cool light morning, neutral light afternoon, warm dim light evenings. I use a warm filters on all my devices in the evening to block blue light. My internal clock wakes me up at 8:20am every morning regardless of the time I go to sleep. Lighting variations throughout the day/night are essential to your sleep rhythm.

I liked the Aurora LightPad MAX, it helped me shift my sleep schedule for a new job. I had no schedule at all and.. well I kinda have one now. Definitely would like it to have a physical switch/push button instead of touch sensor but that’s minor

Love my lamp. I got the Aurora Max. Not for winter blues stuff, but rather sleep. I use it every morning for 15-30 minutes, before hitting the gym. It’s BRIGHT, it’s silent, and it’s easy to use. I think it makes a big difference in getting me going each morn.

I got a Aurora LightPad MAX and it’s truly amazing; at the highest setting, it is extraordinary bright, I was able to put it at the far corner of my desk while still enjoying the benefits and retaining desk space. Alaska Northern Lights(ANL) has the products and the solid experience that I need, in this niche market of light therapy. My doctor suggested that light therapy might be a good supplement for my winter blues and she printed out information on simple guidelines for use. I found ANL during my online research. They have been responsive and caring in all communication.
I have been using the Aurora LightPad for the past year with very good results. You need electricity available and need to treat the item carefully (for instance the stand may get shifted slightly. Gently realign if needed and no problems persist) The device has 3 light levels, and off, on the same button. When I rush through the set-up, I get mixed up which setting I have come to, sometimes. Learning to treat myself and the device with care is good for me, too. I have found this device to be dependable I hope you find help with ANL products.
I gave a 4/5 review due to the high initial investment but I am appreciating the value overall.

Bringing “sunshine” to the winter blues!
Alaska Northern lights is, in my opinion, the best commercially available option during the winter months. I have purchased several of their products over the years, all of which were helpful.
Most recently, I purchased the LED LightPad. This is by far my favorite device of this sort. It’s powerful, lightweight, and highly portable. I find it works best when connected to a gooseneck stand. But even without the stand, it is easy to use; and I travel with it during the winter wherever I go. In addition to making a great product, the people who work at Alaska Northern Lights are a pleasure to talk to.
In this era of fake, positive online reviews, please note that I have written this review solely because I believe in the product, and I want to share the relief it has brought me. This is the one you want!
