I have suffered for many years and had heard about light therapy but thought it was just another way for someone to make a buck. I had spoken with my family physician and was told to try it. So I didn’t just want to buy something that would probably be costly, so after doing a lot of research found on the web Alaskan Northern Lights looked at what others where saying, so I purchased the Aurora LightPad Max !!!!! “WOW” I have started to notice a big change in less then a week. The light is bright and white, and helpful to my mood. My only complaint is that the angle the unit sits at makes placement difficult. I wish there were a stand for it. Otherwise I am very pleased with the unit. It’s a good size and seems sturdy.

We have had the Aurora LightPad Max for 2 weeks now and are very pleased with it. Both my husband and I have used it every morning for 30-40min and within a couple of days we started to see a real difference with mood and energy. I have started waking up naturally about 1-1.5 hrs earlier than I was before we had the light pad. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has a hard time in the shorter winter days. We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we noticed a significant, positive change! In addition Alaska Northern Lights has excellent customer service!!

Calling this light “bright” does not even describe it. It is important that you use it in a well lit room. That may sound funny because it is a big bright light, but it is difficult to sit very close to it in a dark room. Your eyes cannot adjust to the rest of the room if you are so close to it when the rest of the room is dark.
I turned it on in a brightly lit room during the middle of the day and it still brightened the room when other lights made no impact.
It is easy to use – set down the foot in the back, plug in, and turn on.
As for the light, I did receive a recommendation that it helps your body if the light comes from above your eye level and that is a challenge with this unit. It does not have a mounting bracket to allow you to put it on an arm. If you put it on a shelf above eye level, the foot does not allow you to angle it downward toward you.
Overall, I am very impressed with the light.

Great light, and starting your day after the sun goes down. I was using the mini, which works great as well, but as the web site’s description states, bigger is better. This model casts a broader beam so the user is more likely to sit in an optimal angle. This panel does not get hot either. Would buy one of these every year if I had to.
