Light Boxes, SAD Light, SAD Light Boxes

I'm a psychiatric nurse in a busy county mental health clinic in Central Pennsylvania. I have one of your light boxes in my office. It is great for me and it also gives me an opportunity to teach patients and their families about SAD.

The psychiatrist with whom I work used to come to my office for his "light treatment." He finally brought one of his own. He has a variety of light boxes all over but calls mine the "Cadillac of Light Boxes.

Gentlemen: I just wanted to write you a quick note and let you know of my appreciation that you do not use so called full spectrum lamps in your product, and that I will let others know of your product. So many of your competitors not only use Vita-Lite type lamps but repeat the claimed health benefits of the UV fluorescent light they produce. Many have claimed that "full-spectrum" lamps are necessary for the treatment of SAD.

Your web page is quite clear and informative and it is refreshing to see that someone is being honest in their product literature and are truly trying to treat SAD sufferers.

l have treated a number of patients with SAD at WPlC, and have consistently been pleased with the quality and service of your merchandise. When I teach medical students and residents about SAD, I typically provide them with details about Alaska Northern Liqht's products and their utility in the treatment of SAD. Further, I have actively and successfully petitioned insurance companies to cover the cost of your light boxes, despite the availability of less expensive (and I believe lower quality) models.
