Hospital in OH to host program on SAD.

For those in the Cleveland, OH area; the Parma Community General Hospital is hosting a program on Seasonal Affective Disorder.

There was a new story with the WNEWS 5:

Seasonal changes can cause many Northeast Ohioans to feel a bit out of sorts.  If this feeling happens to you, you are not alone.

The cause may be Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D.), which can manifest itself with mild or even debilitating sypmtoms that interfere with relationships and productivity.

On Thursday, February 24 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Parma Community General Hospital will host a program called ‘From S.A.D. to Glad’ to discuss the disorder.

The program will take place at Parma Hospital’s Health and Education Center located at 7300 State Road in Parma.

Doctors will be on hand to discuss diagnosis and treatments options, including light therapy.

Experts on Aromatherapy and therapeutic Yoga will also be present.

For more information and to register for the event call 440-743-4900 or log onto the hospital website at www.parmahospital.org/healthiher .  This event is part of the hospital’s new Women’s Health Membership Program.

Admission is free for HealthiHer members.  Non-member guests are welcome for $10.
